After 15 minutes of play in Valencia's home clash with Real Madrid, referee Javier Estrada Fernandez awarded the visitors a penalty kick following Martin Montoya's challenge on Cristiano Ronaldo, a decision that Andujar Oliver feels was correct.

Ronaldo converted the penalty to hand Zinedine Zidane's charges a one-goal lead although he didn't show the former Barcelona defender a yellow card.

"I give my compliments to the referee because Montoya has fouled the Portuguese forward," former official Oliver explained on Radio MARCA.

"It was a smart decision not to show a yellow card to the Valencia defender."
