Gold Stars have confirmed the appointment of Swiss international coach Fritz Markus Schmid as their new Head Coach, handing him a two-year contract as the club looks to strengthen its technical direction and competitive edge.

Schmid arrives with a strong coaching pedigree, having gained valuable experience at top-level clubs in Europe. He previously served as an assistant coach at English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, where he was exposed to elite football environments, and at Swiss giants FC Basel, one of the most successful clubs in Switzerland.

The club believes Schmid’s international exposure, tactical knowledge and experience in player development will be key in driving Gold Stars forward. His appointment signals an ambitious step as Gold Stars aim to build a competitive squad and establish consistency over the next two seasons under his leadership.
