The Dutch national team officially announced that Brobbey has withdrawn from the squad due to injury. They wished him a speedy recovery, and Joshua Zirkzee will replace the striker in the squad.

Zirkzee will report to national team coach Xavi on Friday evening. The Man United forward will travel to Belgrade on Saturday, where the Netherlands will face Serbia on Sunday. After the match against Serbia, the Dutch national team will play away in Greece, and then return home to face Hungary again.
