France midfielder Kouadio Koné attended a media conference ahead of the match against Italy and discussed Zidane's coaching style, his role on the pitch, and the team's preparations. This is the second part of the press conference.

Koné: Zidane's management style is very personable and values player relationships

I'd like to continue with my colleague's question. From a professional standpoint, how does Zidane and his new coaching staff differ from the coaches you've worked with at club level or with the France national team?

First of all, there are more staff members here. They can meet various needs for our treatment, recovery, and other things, and they support us on the pitch as well. What I mean is, if we have a small need, we know exactly who to turn to. I think this is what makes us feel good within the France national team.

There are also new players on the team, and we help them integrate quickly and build confidence. As you've seen in recent matches, some players are playing for the France national team for the first time, but they play naturally, and that's very encouraging. So I think these things give us confidence.

You mentioned that when Zidane ended his playing career, you were very young. Did you expect that when he became France's head coach, he would receive such a huge welcome and be hailed as a "star"? Now it feels like France's biggest star is him rather than the players. Generally speaking, based on media attention and public recognition, we tend to focus more on players than coaches.

I don't think we should be surprised by this. Looking at his success, we can only praise him. Especially in Saturday's match at the Stade de France, I think we'll see it. Everyone is welcoming him warmly, and we'll experience that together. Then we'll applaud as well.

Regarding the coaching staff, especially the increase in staff, how has this changed your daily routine compared to before? Has your interaction with the assistant coaches increased or decreased compared to previous training camps and coaching staffs?

As I said, this is a different team, and with more staff, we can better meet our needs. For example, the treatment and other things I mentioned earlier. Even on the sidelines, they maintain a very close relationship with us. That's also what a team needs.

So by going in this direction, I think we'll be well taken care of. We should also be able to repay the trust they've placed in us by performing on the pitch as expected. We want to do that.

You and Lucas Da Cunha have both been selected for the France U-teams multiple times, and he's also made a good start with the senior team. You both play in the same position and in the same league. How is your relationship? Also, how do you view the possible competition between you two?

Actually, I've met Lucas through Paris and the France U-teams. We have lots of memories together and sometimes we laugh about them. It's nice to see him in Serie A. We've also played against his Como team. They're a very good team. Really solid.

I'm really happy to see him reach this level. In my opinion, he deserves all of it. When we were younger, he didn't play in the position he plays now. Back then he was a winger, and I played in midfield. So I'm happy to see him in midfield now.

It's also really good to play with him in training. We talk a lot and have known each other for many years, so it's a nice feeling. As for competition, for me it's healthy competition. The coach makes everyone feel important in this group. Everyone matters.

So in my view, what matters most is thinking about the team and moving forward together. Exactly how depends on the match. But what matters most is continuing to move forward. Everyone enjoys training and wants to win the match.

You're playing in Italy. What do you think about the difficulties the Italian team is currently facing? Are you aware of the reasons? Do you discuss these issues with your Italian national team teammates?

To be honest, I can see they're going through difficulties, but I don't actually watch Italian national team matches. I really don't watch them. When any team goes through a difficult period, they encounter challenging times like that. So honestly, I don't watch them closely. I'm not really focused on what's happening there. My focus is here.

How do your requirements for Zidane's number six position differ from those under Didier Deschamps in the France national team? If they do differ, what are the specific differences? Thank you.

First of all, the system used is different. In the previous competition, we had two center-backs or two midfielders, but now we play with one midfielder deeper, so my requirements are different.

As I said, a single midfielder must be able to adapt to different positions and be versatile. I think I have that ability. So for me, no matter where I play, I'll enjoy playing, meet the coach's needs, and do my best to help the team.
