On October 1, following the controversy surrounding Ronaldo's departure from camp, many of his fans flooded the Portuguese national team's social media comment sections. Under the latest post on the official Portuguese national team social media account, which featured female footballer Tatiana Pinto, numerous Ronaldo fans left angry messages. Many fans in the comments called for people to unfollow the official Portuguese team account, repeatedly emphasizing Ronaldo's importance to the national team.

The official Portuguese team account wrote in the post: "Fiery footsteps! 🏹 Tatiana Pinto scores again for Juventus Women, her 5th goal of the season."

However, under this post, which had no direct connection to Ronaldo or the Portuguese men's national team, a large number of fans steered the conversation toward Ronaldo.

One fan directly wrote: "Let's all unfollow." Another fan commented: "Is everyone going to unfollow?"

Another fan wrote: "Unfollow Portugal 👏", with someone else adding: "I will keep unfollowing until the legend Ronaldo returns. ❌"

Another fan commented: "Unfollowed account @portugal, done. ✅"

Some fans directly attributed the Portuguese national team's prominence to Ronaldo.

One fan wrote: "It was Ronaldo who introduced us to the Portuguese national team. Without Ronaldo, we wouldn't even know this team existed. We watch Portugal's matches solely for Ronaldo. The greatest player in football history."

Another fan stated: "No Ronaldo, no Portugal."

Another comment read: "Ronaldo leaves, I leave too, unfollow."

Someone else commented: "No Ronaldo, no Portugal. #unfollow"

Furthermore, a fan stated: "Ronaldo is greater than Portugal's history. 🐐🔥"

There were also comments reflecting on Ronaldo's relationship with Portugal. One fan wrote: "Ronaldo is the best thing that could have happened to Portugal, but Portugal is the worst thing that could have happened to Ronaldo."
