Lang told ESPN that the Netherlands must stop their slow starts and win games against teams like Greece.

Lang came off the bench in the second half of the match against Greece, when the Netherlands were trailing 0-2 before eventually drawing 2-2. The Napoli forward criticized the Dutch team's recurring poor first-half performances.
Speaking about head coach Frank de Boer's adjustments, Lang said: "I had to bring creativity, flair, and courage in the second half. I think all three substitutions were well executed."
Lang stated that Frank de Boer was very angry at halftime due to the team's performance and the score. "Our first-half performance, at some point, has to stop. It's happened too often."
In Nations League matches against Germany (1-1) and Serbia (1-2), Frank de Boer also made adjustments after poor first-half displays. Lang said: "I don't know why. We want to be a strong team, and we want to compete against strong teams, but we often encounter difficulties."
Lang commented: "Of course, playing away in Greece is tough, but in my opinion, this is still a game the Netherlands must win. If you want to be a strong team, you have to deliver such a performance and win these games. This has happened too often."
Lang believes that Greece seemed more determined to win than the Netherlands. He stated: "In the first half, they wanted to win more than us, and that's a problem. Greece was playing at home, their morale was high, and they had good momentum. You have to be prepared for that."
Lang couldn't pinpoint the exact reason but suggested it might be related to overconfidence. "Maybe we thought it would be too easy at the beginning, that we could take our time and still win this game."
