Former Brazil international Felipe Melo criticized Seleção's performance in three recent friendly matches during sportv's "Fechamento" program, pointing out that some players lacked competitive attitude.

Felipe Melo said: "Brazil's national team is regressing. The first match against Australia was even worse than our World Cup performance; the second match showed some improvement but still wasn't good enough. Despite scoring four goals in the third match, the overall performance was still disappointing. I hope Brazil can improve, but looking at the actual performance, the team has declined compared to our final World Cup match against Norway."

He also stated: "Italy has progressed, the Netherlands just started a new project, and Germany too. For Brazil, the hot weather, pitch conditions, and long trips can all be factors. But I cannot understand the lack of winning mentality from players in matches like these. Players can perform poorly, but they must show attitude. Martinelli showed great attitude after coming off the bench, and so did some other players. Samuel Lino showed more positive attitude and scored two goals. If given more time, he could have scored more."

Brazil completed three friendlies in this international break with a 4-0 victory over India on Saturday. Previously, Brazil played two consecutive matches against Australia, with one draw and one win. All these matches were played away.
