Jesus: Raphinha has improved again; Fariñas is the biggest surprise among young players

This week, Jesus gave an official interview with Barcelona, participated in a fan Q&A, looked back at his first few weeks since joining Barcelona, and discussed his teammates, Ronaldinho, and his goals for the team.

If you had to entrust someone to score a late winner in the Champions League final, who would you choose?

"Raphinha. He's on fire right now. His attacking play and finishing are just insane. I've known him from the national team and always knew his finishing ability was outstanding, and I think he's improved even more now."

Tell us about your schedule during the international break.

"The club arranged rest days and training plans for us. I trained a lot and adapted very well. I've been integrating into the team for the past month. I know some teammates I've worked with before, and I'm slowly getting to know everyone. We have very talented players and an excellent coach, so we're on the right track."

Talk about your connection with Barcelona.

"It feels amazing to play for a club like this. Many fans tell me they used to skip school to watch Barcelona's Champions League matches. To be able to wear the Barcelona jersey, I have to thank fate. Now I'm here."

Which young player in the squad has surprised you the most?

"As I've said, Fariñas is the young player who has surprised me the most. Everyone talks about Yamal, Gavi, and Pedri—everyone knows them—but not many people know Fariñas. Training with him every day, I can see his outstanding talent, and he has a bright future."

Who is the funniest player in the squad?

"The funniest person in the team is Cancelo. His way of speaking and his personality are very likable. He's a very good person, and I have a great relationship with him. I get along well with everyone on the team, but Cancelo and I have a special connection. We talk often, so I choose him."

Which teammate's personality has surprised you the most?

"Besides those I already knew, it's hard to single out one individual; everyone has a great character. I'm not surprised by this; I had already heard that the dressing room atmosphere is a big advantage for this team."

Ronaldinho's influence on you.

"I know Ronaldinho is a great legend, and coming here, I can feel his immense influence even more. Many people consider him the greatest Brazilian player in Barcelona's history, and he is also my idol."

What is your favorite position on the field?

"My favorite position is simply being on the field. I can play many positions, both centrally and out wide. Right now, I'm very comfortable in the number 9 role."

How would you summarize your two biggest strengths?

"My strengths are my versatility and my inherent winning mentality."

What match are you most eager to play in?

"Every game here is a challenge. We crave big matches, strong matchups in the Champions League, and the Clásico. I really hope to step onto the field for a Clásico one day; I see it as the most important challenge."
