At 19:30 CET on October 10, Arsenal will host Leeds United in a Premier League Round 6 match. Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has written a column for the match day programme ahead of the fixture, reflecting on his experiences with the Norwegian national team during the international break, sharing his excitement about returning to play at Emirates Stadium, and offering his thoughts on manager Arteta's new long-term contract.

Martin Odegaard wrote: "It feels like it's been a long time since we all gathered at Emirates Stadium, and we're eager to get out on the pitch this evening. After four consecutive away matches, followed by the international break, it's great to be back home. We're back in action today, and we're really looking forward to it."
"It was good to be back with the national team after the World Cup, but we didn't achieve the results we wanted. We lost three out of four matches, which is not ideal, but this is our first time competing in the top tier of the Nations League. I think we played well in the first two matches and could have beaten Portugal at home. The final match against Portugal was also quite good; it was a very tight match against one of Europe's strongest teams, and there's a lot we can improve on, but there were also some positives."
"It's a bit unusual to have such a long international break during the season. I think a longer international break benefits the stronger nations with larger squads, as they have the flexibility to rotate players. For smaller national teams, the scope for rotation is limited, leading to many matches in a short period. If injuries occur, players can miss four matches instead of two. So we need to adapt and manage that wisely."
"But now we're really looking forward to it; everyone is eager to play for Arsenal. The last match, losing to Brighton, was really disappointing. We know who we are, and we know the standards we need to meet, but the performance was truly poor. We weren't good enough that day, we didn't reach our level, and there are the consequences. We have to accept that, learn from it, and make sure it doesn't happen again – that it was just a one-off."
"Today against Leeds, we must come back stronger from that experience. We've had a lot of away matches over the past month, so it's wonderful to be back here at Emirates Stadium in front of our supporters. We're all really looking forward to it, and we know it's another big test against a very strong opponent who have performed extremely well this season. We need to focus from the first second and show our true selves, not what we showed in the last match."
"Also, during the international break, we heard that the manager had signed a new contract, which gave everyone a huge boost. What he has done so far has been amazing, and the fact that he wants to commit to the club for even longer has given everyone a tremendous lift. That will certainly raise our spirits even further."
"I'm sure we'll see that on the pitch today. Thank you all for your support over the past month – you've travelled so much, and we really appreciate it. We're looking forward to seeing that same spirit at Emirates Stadium today and getting the victory we want."
