Manchester United's summer transfer dealings are under scrutiny, with the signings of Tielemans and Andrey Santos facing public criticism.

Manchester United signed three midfielders in the summer transfer window, completely overhauling this crucial area of the pitch. Casemiro's departure and Ugarte's ACL injury made midfield a top priority for new signings.
With the new season only a few weeks old, Manchester United's dismal performance of just six points from six matches has drawn strong questioning from all sides.
In Manchester United's draw against Tottenham, Tielemans started alongside Mainoo in midfield. However, the pair was completely overwhelmed by Brighton's team, and Tielemans was later replaced by Baleba. The latter had joined with an ankle injury, and this match marked his first appearance for the team.
Journalist and author Dean Henry-Winter expressed concerns about Manchester United's midfield structure in an interview with TalkSPORT. He believes that Tielemans should be behind Baleba in the pecking order.
Winter also questioned the decision to spend money on signing Tielemans and Andrey Santos.
He explained: "I think he (Tielemans) should be on the bench. I just don't think he has the acceleration, the physicality, the mobility, and the awareness to track back and help defensively, which isn't Bruno Fernandes's strong suit either. In the end, all that work is left for Mainoo to do alone.
"Baleba and Mainoo would definitely work well together. As for the money they spent on Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans... I really wish they had spent that money on defenders instead."
