Crystal Palace have checked on Senegal international midfielder Papa Alioune Ndiaye.

The 26-year-old impressed scouts as he scored for his club, Turkish side Osmanlispor, in their Europa League tie at Steaua Bucharest last Thursday.

Ndiaye has scored six goals this season and has caught the eye of other clubs, including Everton, with his goalscoring and dribbling ability.

Osmanlispor bought him for £1.2million in 2015 and are looking to sell for around £6.8million in January.

Palace manager Alan Pardew is under pressure to quickly turn results around after six successive league defeats and hopes to stabilise his own position to enable him to strengthen his squad further in the January market.

Everton midfielder James McCarthy is also on his wishlist.
