According to the final stage draw, the winner of Group A will face one of the best third-placed teams from Groups C, D, or E in the round of 16.
At the end of the final matchday in Group C, Tanzania secured a draw against Tunisia, allowing them to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams and be designated as Morocco’s opponent.
The Taifa Stars will face the Atlas Lions in a match scheduled for early January 2026 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
Morocco, buoyed by its fans and galvanized by the return of Achraf Hakimi, will be the clear favorite as it seeks its first title since 1976.
