Fulham unbeaten in past week with one win and one draw

Winning is obviously very important, I think it's the most important thing. In the past two to three weeks, we've been emphasizing the importance of winning; even if you perform very well, you still have to get points. After defeating West Ham, I think this has been a very good week for us.

Now we are preparing for Man United, and we still believe that as long as we play brilliantly from the start of the match, we can beat them. We know we must perform at our best – just like we did against Liverpool at Anfield – that is our goal.

Every Premier League manager is under pressure. This is not because of external factors, but because you have to demand a lot from yourself. All coaches want to win every weekend. Of course, when you coach a giant club, there is always pressure, and I am no exception, because I have to win. Both sides want to win the game on Sunday, so it will be a wonderful match.

Man United are not in good form. Is this a good time to play against them?

When I look at the players they have, I can see that they can decide the game in a second: Rashford, Cunha, Bruno Fernandes, Tielemans, and even the full-backs – they all like to push forward. They have many very talented and top players, and of course, they are Man United, you know what that means.

As I said before, if we want to beat them – and we believe we can – we must play like we did at Anfield, maintaining a very high level for 90 minutes. Even then, we still couldn't beat Liverpool, nor could we beat Chelsea. I think we performed very well in both of those games. We are facing one of the top teams in the world; we are very aware of this, and we must be prepared.

What would your first Premier League win mean this weekend?

I think it would be very important, but not most important for me – it's for my team and players. I don't think the focus is on me. Fulham is the focus, and I believe our fans deserve to see a win against Man United. I know it's very difficult; the last time we beat them at Craven Cottage was many years ago, so we will do our best to make them lose.

On Fulham's defense

Whenever we score and then concede, it's always pretty much the same. Maybe we were a little relaxed in midweek against West Ham United. I don't know why, but we have to improve and be prepared for such situations.

Regarding the international break

We will train with the players who stay here and will play a friendly match, but when you train so hard, this is not the best time. That's how it is, and at the same time, we are also thinking about the match against Man United. If we can put in a very good performance, then this international break will be more ideal.

Is Josh King close to being selected for the England squad?

I am not the England coach, but I think Josh King is ready. There are not many players like him in this league. He is only 19, and look at the talent he possesses; he is also clearly a very diligent player. He can change the game, and I think he has the ability to be in the national team.
