According to Liverpool's official website, Nyonni believes that manager Iraola's philosophy of attacking football and intense pressing suits his style well, and that the experienced midfielders in the squad can provide him with significant support.

The 19-year-old has made four appearances under Iraola this season, most recently coming off the bench to help Liverpool secure a 1-0 away victory over Bournemouth.

As Iraola gradually implements his vision at Liverpool, Nyonni feels his playing style aligns well with the Basque coach's approach.

"I would say because his philosophy is to go forward. As soon as you get the ball, you play forward," Nyonni stated in the official matchday program.

"I think it's the same with the pressing up front—it's very intense. He places a lot of importance on pressing, and I think the best way to attack is to start with pressing, which is very important.

"Everything off the ball is important, so yes, I would say it suits me very well."

Nyonni continued: "I've been playing as a number six, so I guess that's probably the position he thinks I play most often.

"I'm still willing to learn to play as a number eight or any other position, but for now I would probably say I primarily play as a number six."

Nyonni joined Liverpool from Leicester City in September 2023, making his first-team debut six months later at the age of 16.

To date, he has made 24 appearances for Liverpool across all official competitions. Despite strong competition in midfield, he hopes to continue increasing his playing time for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

The England U20 international said: "I've improved a lot. I've been training with the first team and have had some sporadic appearances, which are valuable. Now it's about continuing to build on that and finding my position in the team.

"Of course, playing time is key, but only when the timing is right. I know it won't be easy because there are a lot of experienced midfielders, and they are all very good players, but they can also help me develop a lot.

"So, I understand that, and I'm just trying to make sure I'm always ready to play when needed."
