Following the Coventry victory, Emery stated that Garnacho must continue working to earn playing time: "Keep working hard. Work, work, train, work. When you get minutes, try to play well." Emery added: "He's making progress, but right now we have better players than him."

If Garnacho fails to impress Emery, he could remain at Villa. Reports indicate there is no break clause in the loan agreement between Villa and Chelsea.

The 22-year-old has had an inconsistent spell since joining Chelsea from Manchester United for £40 million over a year ago. As part of that deal, United included a resale clause, meaning they will receive a percentage of any future sale of Garnacho by Chelsea.

Villa now appear unlikely to make Garnacho's move permanent, and Chelsea will likely explore other potential buyers. Spanish La Liga clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation.

When joining Villa, Garnacho spoke about his hopes for the loan move. He said: "I want to find a club where I can regain my confidence, and I also want to try to become the player I was during my first few years at Manchester United."

Garnacho also said: "I've spoken with the manager, and I think he will give me the confidence to stay here and help the team." The former Manchester United winger hopes these words will become reality in the coming months.
