Ferdinand stated in his podcast that Manchester United FC missed the opportunity to sign strikers like Welbeck or Karim Benzema, suggesting that Sęsko could have learned from them at the club.
"If you understand that his playing time needs to be managed properly, I completely agree with you," he said on the "Ferdinand Presents" podcast.
"Without him, the team lacks a true center forward. Our players often drop deep to receive the ball and build play, but then the attack loses that focal point upfront."
"But if you have someone like that, I'd say you can share playing time, ease the pressure, give him experience, and pass that experience on to Sęsko so he can learn and develop. Or this signing could offer more value than just a player who can play the full 90 minutes."
"Yes, the first names that come to mind are Welbeck and Karim Benzema—clearly. In my opinion, these two players could add enormous value to our current attack."
