On October 1st, following the controversy surrounding Ronaldo's departure from the team, numerous Ronaldo supporters flooded the comments section of Portugal's national team social media accounts. Under a recent post by the official Portugal national team account about women's footballer Tatiana Pinto, many Ronaldo fans left angry messages. Several fans demanded unfollows of Portugal's official account, repeatedly emphasizing Ronaldo's impact on the national team.

Portugal's official team account posted: "On fire! 🏹 Tatiana Pinto scores again for Juventus Women, her 5th goal this season."

However, beneath this post—which has no direct connection to Ronaldo or the Portuguese men's national team—many fans derailed the discussion to focus on Ronaldo.

One fan directly wrote: "Let's all unfollow." Another asked: "Is everyone unfollowing?"

Another fan wrote: "Unfollow Portugal 👏", while someone else stated: "I'll keep unfollowing until legend Ronaldo returns. ❌"

Another fan commented: "Already unfollowed @portugal. Done. ✅"

Several fans directly linked Ronaldo to Portugal's national team identity.

One fan wrote: "Ronaldo is the one who introduced us to Portugal's national team. Without Ronaldo, we wouldn't even know this team exists. We watched Portugal matches only for Ronaldo. The greatest player in football history."

Another fan commented: "No Ronaldo, no Portugal."

Another comment read: "Ronaldo leaves, I leave too. Unfollow."

Someone else left the message: "No Ronaldo, no Portugal. #unfollow"

Another fan stated: "Ronaldo is greater than Portugal's entire history. 🐐🔥"

There were also comments reflecting on Ronaldo's relationship with Portugal. One fan wrote: "Ronaldo is the best thing that could happen to Portugal, but Portugal is the worst thing that could happen to Ronaldo."
