Ahead of the UEFA Nations League match between Turkey and Belgium, Arda Güler attended a pre-match press conference, discussing the pressure he feels within the team, the team's recent performances, and topics such as K. Mbappé, his Real Madrid teammate.

On the pressure he feels in the Turkish national team and the trust between teammates

I don't feel like I'm facing unbearable pressure. I have the ability, and my teammates and seniors all believe in me, and I believe in them as well. In fact, we're not just relying on Arda alone. Everyone fights together. Sometimes one player performs better, and sometimes another does. But we all trust each other greatly. I hope that tomorrow we can show this through fighting together as a team.

On the performances against France and Italy and the team's response

Apart from the first half against Italy, I think we played with great spirit when we faced France. We could have won those matches. France is one of the strongest teams. I also felt we responded well in the second half against Italy. So if we can play at our full potential, play and fight together as a team, and respond like that, I think we can perform well.

On why the team couldn't win and returning to winning momentum

Perhaps we didn't lack anything. Perhaps we made some mistakes. We faced very strong opponents, so we couldn't secure victories. But we came together again, because we are together when we play well and we are together when we play poorly. I hope that tomorrow we can play together again, respond together, and return to our winning momentum.

On being named Real Madrid's Player of the Month

Of course, this makes me very proud. But I hope that tomorrow we can win. That would make me even happier.

On K. Mbappé's skills and character, and exchanging shirts after the match

K. Mbappé is one of the best players in the world and also a great person. He is very humble and sincere. He stands out on the pitch and is equally honest off the pitch. After the match, we exchanged shirts, talked about the game, and chatted a bit. That's all.
