Tresoldi scored a hat-trick in a recent Germany U21 match, delivering an exceptional performance, and Germany U21 coach Di Salvo praised the young striker's display after the game.

Regarding Tresoldi's appointment as captain, Di Salvo stated: "I want to give him greater responsibility and make him feel that continuing to play for Germany is a source of pride."

"Tresoldi knows from me, and also from Klopp, that he is a striker we trust. Klopp is in close contact with him, but we will not put any pressure on the player."

Tresoldi has not yet committed to a senior national team; he is eligible to play for both Germany and Italy.
