The Ecuadorian national team announced on its official social media that Pervis Estupiñán sustained a knee sprain.
Estupiñán suffered the injury during the match against Japan. Subsequent medical evaluations and imaging confirmed a knee sprain with internal joint dysfunction.
Clinical information and examination results have been sent to Milan's medical department for continued treatment.
