According to Bild, Brazil U20 and U23 national team coach Paulo Victor Gomes recently made a secret visit to Bayern Munich, putting 17-year-old winger Maikon Cardoso in the spotlight.

Kompany has recently kept players behind heightened privacy screens during training sessions. During one of Bayern's closed training sessions, Gomes quietly visited Säbener Straße.
Gomes posted a photo on social media with Kompany and Bayern U23 coach Dante, in which the three are holding Brazilian national team jerseys. This meeting could prove significant for Cardoso's international career.
The 17-year-old is currently recovering from a dislocated shoulder but has already trained regularly with Bayern's first team and made two Bundesliga appearances. Cardoso aspires to represent Brazil's U20 and U23 national teams, both coached by Gomes.
In his social media post, Gomes hinted at the reason for his visit, writing: "Important international visits have begun. We will closely follow players in Europe and strengthen relationships with their clubs." Bild reports that Bayern has no other players eligible for the Brazilian U20 or U23 teams, suggesting Gomes was specifically referring to Cardoso.
Bild believes this indicates Gomes has been monitoring Cardoso's development and may include him in future training camp selections.
