Manchester City are set for a hefty punishment after being found guilty of more than 100 breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations

UFC star and Liverpool fan Paddy Pimblett wants Manchester City deducted 100 points each season for the next DECADE.

City, now one of the biggest clubs in the world, face a huge punishment after being found guilty of more than 100 breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations. The club has pleaded their innocence and submitted an appeal, but speculation has been rife across football over the sanctions they might face after an independent commission stated they broke the rules across nine seasons from 2009-10 to 2017-18.

Enzo Maresca’s City side are expected to face a hostile atmosphere at Anfield on Sunday when they take on fierce rivals Liverpool in their first game since the verdict.

And UFC lightweight star Pimblett, an avid Red, wants a huge punishment dished out. "Manchester City should have like a 100-point deduction for the next 10 years - every year," he told Mirror Fighting. "But it's probably not going to happen, is it? They're going to strong-arm the Premier League and they're going to get away with it.

"I've lost out on Liverpool winning about five Premier League titles because of them. Jurgen Klopp would have had a season where he was invincible, won 100 points, and the double because we won the Champions League and the Premier League in the same season, and that's been robbed off him by cheating b******* ."

Liverpool would in fact add three more Premier League trophies to their haul, as would Manchester United. Liverpool would also pick up a Carabao Cup, and Pimblett added: "I'd take them. That season (2018-19) when the only team to beat us all year was Man City, we should have those three points; we'd be centurions, we'd be invincible and we'd have done the double .

"That was one of the best seasons a team could ever have, so we deserved that, but we're just going to have to see what happens over the coming weeks and months, because they're probably going to strong-arm the league and get away with it."
