German coach discusses various matters ahead of Saturday's game at Spotify Camp Nou.

Raphinha was one of the main talking points ahead of Barça v Getafe. The Brazilian forward, Barça's top scorer, will miss the return of La Liga action, as confirmed by Hansi Flick

Joan Garcia, Gabriel Jesus, Frenkie de Jong and Lamine Yamal were among the other players who cme up in the questions from the media.

No Raphinha or Frenkie

Regarding Barça's next opponents, Getafe, Flick said "we have to focus on our next challenge, which is Getafe. They're a tough team who defend well. It won't be easy."

He is also aware of the need to be cautious with Raphinha: "It's not a serious injury, but we have to be careful because he had injuries last season. He won't be available against Getafe or Galatasaray."

The games against Getafe and the Turkish side are the first fixtures in a packed October schedule following the long international break: "I don't like it, but it's part of our job. We have five very important games and we have to prepare."

Pleased with Gabriel Jesus' progress

Critical of the distances some of his players have travelled during the international break, Flick confirmed that Gabriel Jesus could start in Saturday's 6.30pm CEST game: "He's improved a lot and adapted to our style. He's trained very well over the last three weeks and he's ready."

Meanwhile Joan Garcia "has trained well and could start," but Frenkie de Jong is still not ready for action.

Flick praised his players' attitude in Friday's training session: "I saw a lot of good things. All the players know we have to press hard, and that's our mentality. It's good to have players with that intensity."

The coach was also pleased with the versatility of his squad when asked about the competition between Espart and Cancelo: "It's fantastic to have Xavi, from La Masia. We have different options for every position. Everyone has to be at their best."

A hectic October is about to begin, and Flick will need every player at his disposal.
