In the sixth round of the Premier League, Liverpool suffered a 0-3 home defeat to Manchester City, marking their first league loss of the season. Following the match, renowned football commentator Zhan Jun shared his analysis on social media.
Zhan Jun wrote: "It was a highly anticipated clash between two strong teams, and the atmosphere was intense.
The turning point came in the 56th minute when Doku came off the bench. Six minutes later, Gravenberch received his second yellow card and was sent off for blocking Doku's breakthrough. Subsequently, Haaland and Doku scored in succession to seal the match.
Injuries to van Dijk, Gakpo, and Szoboszlai prevented Liverpool's attack from posing a greater threat. The players fought hard, but their strength was no match for City. Following their first defeat of the season, their league position also dropped to ninth.
Manchester City won all six opening matches, the second time in the club's Premier League history. This victory is also the best way for the entire team to demonstrate unity. Personally, I think City and Arsenal have equal chances in the title race."
