According to The Athletic, Real Madrid will extend Thibaut Courtois' contract until the summer of 2028, with both parties having reached an agreement in principle.

Courtois' current contract is set to expire at the end of the 2024-25 season, but both parties have reached an agreement in principle on new terms extending through the 2027-28 season.
Courtois is in his ninth season with Real Madrid, having joined from Chelsea in the summer of 2018. He has won 15 trophies with the club, including 4 LaLiga titles and 3 Champions League titles.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper has solidified his position as Real Madrid's number one and is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He has kept 103 clean sheets in LaLiga.
Under manager Carlo Ancelotti, Courtois is the preferred goalkeeper for LaLiga and Champions League matches, with backup goalkeeper Andriy Lunin typically playing in Copa del Rey games.
Courtois has made 115 appearances for Belgium but announced he would temporarily withdraw from the Nations League matches under head coach Jesús Castillo, with Genk goalkeeper Maarten Vandeputte called up as his replacement.
