The initiative aims to support fans experiencing suicidal thoughts and those affected by suicide-related trauma, reduce stigma around mental illness, and provide confidential mental health resources. The club deploys dedicated staff on match days to help connect supporters with professional psychological services.

Manchester United's elimination from the English League Cup after a 3-2 loss to Brighton sparked a flood of sarcastic comments from fans:

"You are one of the reasons for all this."

"But our transfer window actually made things worse."

"Last night's match made things even worse."

The campaign is a Premier League-wide mental health initiative developed in partnership with UK suicide prevention charities. All 20 Premier League clubs are participating, and Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal had previously promoted the campaign through their official channels.

Tottenham's official account was similarly inundated with fan complaints:

"Half of them are Tottenham fans, right?"

"Yes, supporting you has caused us immense suffering. If anyone is still alive after supporting you, congratulations to them and their mental health! 💀 😔"

By contrast, Arsenal's comments section remained relatively lighthearted: "Then you'll win tonight," "Since you're against suicide, keep winning tonight."
