Massimiliano Allegri believes Noa Lang "can and must give more" to Napoli ahead of their trip to Fiorentina on Sunday.

Napoli returned to winning ways last time out with a 1-0 win at Bologna, which ended a three-game losing run across all competitions (two in Serie A, one in Champions League).

Lang missed Napoli's Champions League defeat to Arsenal, which came after losses to Como and Inter, due to disciplinary reasons, but returned as a half-time substitute against Bologna.

The 27-year-old, who was loaned out to Galatasaray for the second half of 2025-26, is yet to score or assist this season for Napoli.

Allegri revealed Lang could feature against Fiorentina, but has urged the winger to contribute more.

"Lang could play, but I still need to evaluate a few situations," replied Allegri.

"He can and must give more considering his qualities. Over the course of a season, it’s hard to have everyone available, so the important thing is that everyone who is available does well.

"If one is out, the other will step in, but the important thing is to have the right spirit and enthusiasm.

"The game against Bologna was a consequence of what we did against Arsenal, even if we were criticised for that."

After losing their opening three games in Serie A this season, Fiorentina defeated Venezia 4-2 last time out.

Real Madrid loanee Franco Mastantuono scored a hat-trick for Fiorentina in the victory, while they followed it up with a 3-0 win over Pisa in the Coppa Italia midweek.

Napoli – Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne's first Serie A penalty goal came against Fiorentina at the Franchi last season, opening the scoring in Napoli's 3-1 victory.

The Belgian has created 10 chances for his teammates in this Serie A season, at least twice as many as any Napoli player – Leonardo Spinazzola follows with five.
