According to UEFA's official website, after goalkeeper Bazunu's departure, Irish defender Dunne has been registered as the third goalkeeper for the team's UEFA Nations League match against Israel on Sunday.

The QPR player will wear the number 23 jersey and is included in the squad as one of three goalkeepers, alongside Kelleher and Max O'Leary.

The 28-year-old had previously missed the loss to Kosovo but will now be part of the matchday squad, as UEFA regulations stipulate that the official lineup must include three registered goalkeepers.

On Saturday, after lengthy discussions and a vote on whether the match should proceed as planned, Southampton goalkeeper Bazunu left the team in Debrecen.

Later that evening, the Dublin native released an official statement saying he wished the team well but had decided to withdraw.

"I have the utmost respect for each of my teammates, the head coach, the coaching staff, and the people of Ireland," he said.

"However, I have made a considered decision. I am a person of strong faith and strive to be a person of character and principle; therefore, I believe it would be inappropriate to participate in the upcoming match against Israel."

"I made this decision purely based on my belief that the killing of innocent civilians is wrong."

"It is important to note that my stance is not against the people of Israel or the Jewish community, but against the atrocities occurring in the region."
