According to The Chronicle's Newcastle correspondent Lee Ryder, Newcastle United held an open training session for local media at the club's training ground on Tuesday. Head coach Matthias Jaissle observed from the sidelines. Joelinton and Nico Gonzalez have both returned to team training, while Burn has also resumed training and is expected to make his comeback in the match against Coventry.

Joelinton has not featured for Newcastle this season due to a muscle injury. England international Burn suffered an ankle injury just days before the start of the new season.
Nico Gonzalez previously missed Newcastle's 2-1 victory over Hull City due to a concussion. He has now completed the required recovery protocols for his head injury and is expected to rejoin the matchday squad.
During this open training session, other injured players such as Amar Dedic, Tino Livramento, Jacob Ramsey, and William Osula were not present, but it is understood that there have been no setbacks in their recovery.
Regarding goalkeepers, with Lukas Hranicek on international duty with the Czech Republic preparing for tonight's Nations League match against England, and Irvin Jawara with the France U21 national team, only three goalkeepers — Nick Pope, Mark Gillespie, and Aidan Harris — participated in training that day.
The training session began with Newcastle's outfield players undergoing a series of conditioning drills, including young players such as Mason Miley and Miodrag Pivac. The team then conducted tactical work without goalkeepers, after which the three goalkeepers joined for the final phase of the session.
Newcastle's next match is on October 12, when several injured players are expected to return. Jaissle will be hoping for more positive injury news after the international break.
