Radio Marca journalist Javier Tintó claimed on his show that Mbappé was unhappy because Real Madrid didn't back him in his Ballon d'Or bid, prompting Mbappé to respond directly in the comments.

In the video, journalist Javier Tintó said: "I've been saying this for two years: he (Mbappé) is an extremely selfish player who doesn't care about anything else. If you analyze it closely...

According to my sources, Mbappé asked Real Madrid during the week of the Madrid Derby to fully back him and support his Ballon d'Or candidacy, as that was all that mattered to him.

But the club didn't give in. Now I finally understand Mbappé's attitude on the pitch during the Derby – though I can't condone such behavior, it all makes sense now. His performance on the field was poor, and I said it during the live broadcast: 'Playing with ten men after a red card and still wandering around the pitch like that is not normal.' Real Madrid looked like they had only nine players on the field at that point. I know that's why, because he was seething with anger back then.

After that, he apparently made the same demand to Zidane. But Zidane couldn't agree because Dembélé was also involved.

Everything that happened from that moment on is truly regrettable and shameful."

Radio Marca captioned the video: "Javier Tintó: 'Mbappé is furious with the club because Real Madrid didn't support him in the Ballon d'Or race.'"

Mbappé then commented: "😂😂😂... Oh yeah, I also had a fight with my great-aunt."
