According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Conte rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, hoping to wait for a top European club.

Romano discussed the situations surrounding Conte and De Zerbi on his website "Affidabile". He stated that while Fenerbahçe and Juventus had previously been mentioned, Conte was actually approached discreetly by Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.

Romano revealed that Al-Ahli made a substantial offer to convince Conte to join them, significantly exceeding the previously rumored €10 million per season salary. Conte rejected the offer, preferring to wait for a top European club where he can lead them to trophies they haven't yet won.

Romano said that Juventus has not contacted Conte recently, and Giovanni Carnevali remains fully confident in Luciano Spalletti. However, Conte's name continues to be linked with Juventus.

Regarding AC Milan, Romano stated that Conte's presence at San Siro to watch Milan face Benfica sparked speculation, but owner Gerry Cardinale wants to continue backing Ruben Amorim. The team needs to make rapid progress, particularly in consistency. Amorim has told management he needs time to build his own Milan project, and Cardinale has accepted this philosophy, with both sides continuing to work together.

Romano also noted that Tottenham Hotspur remains one of the most closely watched managerial positions in Europe. With Tottenham currently at the bottom of the standings and having undergone significant changes this summer, the club remains unwavering in its confidence in De Zerbi during this extended break.

Romano stated that starting Saturday, Tottenham must accelerate their pace, reverse their situation, start winning again, and improve their performance. Tottenham has not approached other managers, De Zerbi's contract at Tottenham is generous, and the club's new project has only just begun. The club has long-term confidence in the Italian manager, but results must improve.
