According to Corriere dello Sport, Italy U21 qualified directly for the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship after defeating Poland. Coach Carmine Nunziata spoke about the team's performance.

Nunziata told Rai: "I said it yesterday evening before the match... these boys are truly special, very good, and they deserve this joy. Over the last 15 days they've shown the level of professional players; no one held back. After beating Armenia in the 95th minute, it seemed like everything was meant to be. We must thank the stars that have always been on our side."

Nunziata also spoke about the Adriatico Stadium in Pescara. He said: "I told the players that tonight they would experience a magical place where the people would inspire them to deliver a great performance. It may sound a bit strange, but they scored six goals."

When asked about Fini's celebration after his goal and the team's affection for him, Nunziata became emotional again: "Well, you know why I'm here. Who should I dedicate the victory to? I won't dedicate it to anyone but my players. They're fantastic."
