Barcelona defeated Getafe 3-0 at home in La Liga Matchday 8 on Sunday, securing their eighth consecutive league win to start the season.

Barcelona has now won all eight of their opening La Liga matches this season, equalling the club record set by Tito Martino's team in the 2013-14 season. That remains the only time in club history that Barcelona has achieved eight consecutive wins to start a La Liga campaign.

However, Barcelona's momentum faltered in the ninth round when they drew 0-0 with Osasuna. The team finished that season with a 1-1 draw against Atlético Madrid in their final league match, ultimately losing the title to their rivals.
