In today's sixth round of Premier League fixtures, Tottenham Hotspur drew 1-1 with Manchester United. After the match, De Zerbi gave an interview to Sky Sports about his thoughts on the game.

How did you feel?

"I thought we played very well against a strong team. In the first half we controlled the game completely and created many chances. Three or four excellent chances, but we didn't score. This is normal when you play at this level against this quality of opponent. We often face difficulties. I was very pleased because I saw the right spirit and character from them. They had to start with character, reaction, and this kind of behavior."

How encouraging is it that the team kept fighting to earn a draw even after being reduced to 10 men?

"Today was the first time this season we showed real team spirit. We played like a team. We absorbed the pressure, controlled the game, and gave everything in every phase of the match. That is football. The red card situation with Bentancur was a test at that moment, and I like this kind of test. Not that we want a red card, but we refused to accept complete defeat. We had to respond in every way possible."

"Even if it wasn't appropriate or the right way to do it, I still went to embrace Bentancur in the dressing room because we needed that kind of reaction. Football tests your character, and if we can play as a team, we can win games. Today we didn't win, but if we can maintain this mentality in every game, we will win many games."

Your thoughts on goalscorer Dominic Solanke

"I'm happy with him. He's an excellent player. For Tottenham Hotspur, there aren't many forwards better than Dominic Solanke. He deserves to be captain, especially in the current situation where he's frustrated because Tottenham hasn't been able to score or win. He is our striker, a good man and an excellent player."

"We all support him, and we must believe in ourselves, believe in football. Because if we believe in ourselves, continue to develop, and work together, we will score many goals and win many games. If we can't work together, success is impossible."
