Manchester City defeated Liverpool 3-0 away, handing the Reds their first league defeat while solidifying their position as league leaders and boosting morale. Roy Keane praised Manchester City's performance on Sky Sports' post-match show.

Roy Keane said: "Over the last few weeks, people have been making all sorts of statements, but today Manchester City made their own powerful statement with their performance on the pitch. The red card certainly helped Manchester City, but you still need to show what you're made of. All three goals Manchester City scored were brilliant."

"This win will greatly boost Manchester City's morale. They've started the season well, which is good news for Maresca. At this point, you can't help but wonder, 'Who is Guardiola?' Now, people don't even discuss the concerns we used to have about Manchester City when Guardiola left or Rodri was injured."

"Doku's performance made a huge difference. He constantly drove at the opposition's defense. Apart from the opponent being sent off, Doku, who came off the bench, essentially changed the entire course of the game."
