Manchester City reportedly violated a Premier League rule following their 3-0 victory over Liverpool on Sunday, with manager Enzo Maresca failing to give a post-match radio interview.

Manchester City has reportedly committed another Premier League violation following their dominant 3-0 victory over Liverpool on Sunday, after manager Enzo Maresca did not conduct a post-match radio interview. The atmosphere at Anfield was hostile for Manchester City, who have been found guilty of 114 breaches of Premier League financial rules.
Before kick-off, boos and jeers erupted from Liverpool supporters, accompanied by chants of "You cheating b******s, you know what you are," clearly directed at the club amid ongoing legal disputes.
Fans inside Anfield held banners reading: "At the end of the day, you really stole everything from us" and "All your stars are fading away."
However, this did not prevent the visiting team from securing a comfortable 3-0 victory.
According to the Premier League handbook, "Every club participating in the League must ensure that every radio broadcaster with the rights to broadcast the match is allowed to interview (a) at least one player who performed prominently in the match, and (b) the manager, after the match."
While the Premier League cannot impose specific penalties on Manchester City for this violation, the club is expected to receive an administrative fine for failing to provide radio interviews. Manchester City could learn the final outcome of their alleged financial rule breaches by early 2027.
If their appeal is unsuccessful, the club could face a range of sanctions depending on the severity of penalties imposed by the league. However, according to Neville, the English top flight is currently in turmoil due to this ongoing controversy.
"We heard Liverpool fans chanting 'relegation' at a team that is top of the league. You can't just brush that negativity out of your mind.
"I mean, all you can do is appreciate the football, and we can appreciate Haaland and Doku, and the goals we saw, and Cherki's goal, and Manchester City fans can celebrate behind the goal. But for the rest of us, we're sitting there basically wondering what's going to happen next. Yes, it's very disruptive. It really is right now."
