The Oluyole Warriors currently sit in the relegation zone, but the striker has praised the fans for their loyalty and support throughout the season.

Shooting Stars forward Sunday Faleye has urged the club's fans to maintain their faith in the team ahead of their Nigeria Professional Football League clash with Rivers United at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

The Oluyole Warriors find themselves in 18th in the NPFL table with 29 points from 25 matches, having won just seven games so far in the league this season.

When asked what message he would like to send out to the fans ahead of Saturday's match, youngster said, "Stick with us".

"They turn out in numbers every week. They were beating their drums and singing songs of victory when we defeated ABS last weekend. I always trust our fans for they are very loyal and confident in the team they support," Faleye told Goal. 

"We want them to stick with us at this stage of the season. There is a massive part of the campaign. We are heading into our 26th game and we still have 10 to go. 

Shooting Stars are on the road to Rivers United and Faleye believes anything is possible in the NPFL tie. 

"Everyone in the team have a role to play if we are to survive. We have already toughened ourselves up for the game in Port Harcourt. We are hoping the ball favours us. Anything can happen," he added.

"They (Rivers United) have dropped points in the past at their home ground. So nothing stops us from getting a good result when we face them on Saturday."
