After finalizing the signing of Scottish striker Robbie Ure, Sevilla still hopes to further strengthen its attacking power, and the team is pushing to bring in French-Nigerian forward George Ilenikhena, who plays for Al-Ahli Saudi FC.

According to ABC de Sevilla, Sevilla is trying to sign Ilenikhena on a "loan with an option to buy" basis. The young striker will celebrate his 20th birthday in a week. He joined from Monaco last January, with the Saudi club paying a €33 million transfer fee.

Ilenikhena emerged at Monaco last season, making 20 appearances in all competitions and scoring 4 goals, though most of these appearances were as a substitute. The Saudi side believed at the time that this young Nigerian forward had immense potential and was therefore willing to invest a high transfer fee to bring him to the team.

However, this investment did not yield the expected returns. After joining Al-Ahli Saudi FC, Ilenikhena only had about 6 appearances. The player himself hopes to return to European football to avoid impacting his professional development.

Sevilla joined the competition under this background and hopes to complete the deal through a loan with a buy option. It is understood that Ilenikhena himself also recognizes the possibility of joining Sevilla.

Currently, this is not the only forward option Sevilla is pursuing, but the club believes this is one of the closer options to completion.
