According to Slow Motion News, Germany coach Klopp named 44 players in his first national team call-up, still managing to spring a surprise. The exceptionally large squad for the Nations League matches does not include Brugge forward Tressoldi, a player who has been contested by both Germany and Italy.

The 2004-born striker was born in Cagliari but grew up in Germany, making him eligible for both national teams. However, Klopp excluded him from the 44-man squad, which still gives Mancini a chance to secure him.
It is widely believed that his final decision may be made after this youth tournament concludes.
