True Real Madrid fans. Look, even Atlético fans would acknowledge Mbappé. I'm talking about those Real Madrid fans who have season tickets at the Bernabéu and have been members for 20 years. These Real Madrid fans do not consider Mbappé an idol. Mbappé has not won them over. He has scored many goals, and for me, he is the best player in the world, but he hasn't truly resonated with these fans.

He hasn't truly resonated with them because he was "invisible" for a period last season. Last season, he went to Paris to recover from an injury, which was extraordinary; he didn't play in the final stages of the season, prioritizing the World Cup; and in those important matches, he also didn't step up. This Mbappé is not the Mbappé that Real Madrid fans want. So now that it's time to decide the Ballon d'Or, the club will of course campaign for him, but I haven't seen anyone rush to Cibeles Square holding banners demanding the Ballon d'Or for Mbappé.
