Last week, the Spanish Grand Prix concluded. Mourinho was interviewed by F1's official channels during the event.

Mourinho said, "I have been following F1 for some time and have attended a few races, but of course, this is the first time it has been held in Madrid. Because my work is nearby, I followed the construction of this venue every day on my way to and from work. As the event approached, everyone's excitement grew."

Mourinho reflected on the pressure faced by top footballers and Formula 1 drivers, but he believes Formula 1 drivers handle big moments differently: they maintain a more open and relaxed mindset before a race, whereas football traditionally isolates key players from the outside world before important matches.

"Both face immense pressure. When we talk about sports at the highest level, we always mention immense pressure. But I feel they are one step ahead of us in how they deal with crucial moments. In football, I believe we are too closed off, and this is also due to tradition." He therefore views Formula 1 as a model football can learn from. Despite the immense pressure and risks involved, drivers interact with people, conduct media and PR activities, and remain relaxed before getting into their cars. The Portuguese coach was particularly impressed by their ability to stay calm while quickly refocusing on on-track competition.

"These drivers face immense pressure, but before the race, they meet people, do PR activities, and deal with the media. I think we have to learn how they manage to relax and then, half an hour later, get into the car and fight, because they are willing to take risks."
