Sunderland's Dutch forward Brobbey has reported for national team duty and was interviewed by ESPN Netherlands, where he discussed his recent form and the upcoming Nations League match against Germany.

Brobbey scored a hat-trick last Sunday in an away Premier League match against Man City. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to secure a win for his team, but Brobbey still received a perfect 10-point rating from BBC Sport.

During an interview with ESPN on Tuesday, a confident Brobbey stated, "I felt I did a lot of good things in that match, so I can understand why they gave me a 10. It was a good and fun game. It's just a shame we lost. But personally, it was a really good performance."

He has carried his excellent form from the World Cup into the new season with Sunderland. Brobbey admitted that this is a result of his hard work. Lately, his training has focused on "scanning."

Brobbey explained, "I've started to observe my surroundings more, to see where my opponents are. That makes it easier for me and reduces physical exertion."

Now, he will bring this approach to the match against Germany. Germany is an opponent Brobbey is very familiar with; in 2024, he had several exciting duels with Jonathan Tah.

Brobbey said, "That was a very interesting game, a great game, 2-2."

Brobbey is eager to engage in another exciting contest against his opponents. He stated, "I still do that now. Sometimes I observe where opponents are positioned now, something I did less of before. Now I do it."

In the match against Germany, he will have the opportunity to prove himself. The new Netherlands coach, Xavi, did not call up Memphis Depay and Wout Weghorst, while Donyell Malen, who is also in excellent form, withdrew due to injury. Therefore, all three will miss this international fixture.

Brobbey stated, "But I'm here."
