The legendary Brazilian left-back also spoke about Ronaldo, praising his remarkable physical condition and saying he could play for another ten years.

Roberto Carlos, Real Madrid ambassador and Brazilian football legend, opened the second day of the Portugal Football Summit, organized by the Portuguese Football Federation in Oeiras Football City. Carlos, a 2002 World Cup winner, is widely regarded as one of the greatest left-backs in football history.

AS conducted an exclusive interview with the Brazilian left-back, and Roberto Carlos was unequivocal on the Ballon d'Or: "Who should win the Ballon d'Or? Kylian Mbappé." At the Portugal Football Summit, he also reflected on Cristiano Ronaldo: "He can still play for another 10 years. He is a monster with an amazing physical condition. He is very happy to be selected for the Portuguese national team and passionate about continuing to play."

Earlier in his speech, Roberto Carlos immediately won over the audience. The Brazilian recounted his career as a member of the so-called "Galácticos": "Ronaldo won the Ballon d'Or in 2002 in 90 minutes.

Based on my experience with the Brazilian national team and Real Madrid's Galácticos, I mainly felt like a child in the locker room, surrounded by a group of players with brilliant histories. I wanted to learn from them. One person I learned a lot from was Zidane. Zidane is a super intelligent person. Ronaldo Nazário was a different kind of person. He was a great entrepreneur. He even bought Valladolid and significantly increased its value. The club had one value originally, and when he sold it, the value was completely different. Why? Because he built the structure that gave the club the necessary appreciation."

He also revealed details of his vision for life after retirement (he retired in India at the end of 2015): "When I was still playing, I thought about becoming a football coach. I had the privilege of working with the best coaches in the world and playing with the best players in the world. Naturally, I started to learn about tactical systems. My idea was that when I retired, I would at least start with a small club and someday become the head coach of the Brazilian national team. At the same time, I also took a course for sports directors. This course existed in my era, and of course, whenever I had time, I would read about football regulations."

However, his path after retirement took a different direction: "But I always believed that a career after retirement means building on your story as a player, using your image for commercial purposes, and in my case, serving as an ambassador for Real Madrid, taking the Real Madrid name around the world. When I played, I spent time with some very intelligent people who taught me how to be a good person while doing what they were doing—whether as a sports director, coach, or physical trainer."

He also revealed details of difficult periods in his life: "I can only say that I had problems with certain people who almost emptied my accounts. Everything I gained in football, I lost 99% of it one day. Later, thanks to Entourage Sport, I was able to reorganize my life, both financially and personally, and today I live very peacefully. Because of this, I am their partner, because of everything they did for me in my most difficult moments, and we want to do the same for active players."
