According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Fabregas' contract with Como includes a release clause that can be triggered by top clubs such as Arsenal.

Fabregas quickly became one of Europe's most talked-about young managers after leading Como to Champions League qualification. The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder officially took over the club following a successful spell as interim manager and is currently being linked with several top positions in football.

Arteta is expected to sign a new contract with Arsenal soon, extending his tenure beyond 2029, so a managerial change at Arsenal is unlikely in the near term. However, Fabregas' Como contract reportedly contains clauses that would make it easier for Arsenal to bring back their former captain if the managerial position at Arsenal becomes vacant.

Speaking to Betarades.gr, Di Marzio stated that Fabregas is currently happy at Como and has even turned down offers from Italian giants like Inter Milan.

Di Marzio said: "Fabregas will only leave Como for a big club like Barcelona or Arsenal. However, Barcelona has just extended Flick's contract, and Arsenal are clearly very happy with Arteta. I don't think he'll move to any top club that needs him before then."

He added: "Fabregas is like a computer. He knows he'll manage one of these top clubs, but he's not in a rush. Last year he turned down Inter Milan, Roma, and Leverkusen, and Como don't want to let him go either."

Di Marzio revealed: "Fabregas has a release clause in his contract for top clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Barcelona, so it depends on which of these clubs runs into trouble first. Things could change. Como's challenge is finding the next Fabregas, a new manager with the same appeal, leadership qualities, ideas, and vision as him."

He continued: "I think Sassuolo's manager Aquilani could be one of the candidates, but I'm not sure whether he could replace Fabregas. In Italy, Aquilani is one of the few managers trying to play in that style of football. If Fabregas decides to leave, I think Como will look at him."

At some point in the future, Arteta could leave Arsenal to continue his managerial career. Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are all reportedly admiring Arteta's work. At that point, Arsenal's board could consider reverting to their previous approach of seeking a manager who truly understands what Arsenal means and has played for the club.

Fabregas praised Arsenal's trust-building project after their 1-1 draw in a pre-season friendly with Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. He said: "Many things you see in football every day—what Arsenal have done, especially their patience during difficult times—are truly rare. When I came to watch a Champions League match last season, I congratulated Edu and Andrea Berta on their patience, unity, and commitment to the plan across the entire club."

Fabregas stated: "If I remember correctly, they finished 8th three years in a row, and in the fourth season, they came very close to securing Champions League qualification, but it was still a huge disappointment. Tottenham then finished 5th, but Arsenal kept pushing forward because they had a plan, a target, and kept improving."

He concluded: "This type of patience is what's missing in football today. Changing managers after losing three matches, playing one style, then switching to another. Ultimately, I really don't believe in that approach."
