According to José Félix Díaz, a journalist for Diario AS, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and adidas are working to extend their current contract until 2030.

Senior officials from the RFEF and adidas are discussing extending their partnership until 2030. Initial contact has been made, and although it may take some time for the agreement to be finalized, both sides are positive and willing to continue their collaboration, which began in 1991.
adidas is also aware that the current contract should reflect the RFEF's recent achievements, which include a World Cup title, a gold medal in men's football at the Paris 2024 Olympics, a European Championship title, a Women's Nations League title, a U20 Women's World Cup title, and a U19 European Championship title.
Both parties will accelerate discussions in the coming hours as they aim to finalize the new contract by the start of 2027. This new agreement will acknowledge the achievements of the national teams and the standing of Spanish football on the global stage, with Spain and Argentina being adidas's two most important national team partners.
The RFEF wants its sporting achievements to be properly recognized, especially during Luis de la Fuente's tenure. Following sustained success across all national teams, the commercial value of the Spanish national team jersey is now approaching that of top European club jerseys. However, due to the significantly lower frequency of international fixtures compared to club competitions, its valuation remains lower.
Their previous contract provided annual income of 20 million euros plus performance bonuses. This figure could potentially double once the new contract is signed. The last two renewals occurred in 2015, when a new contract was set to run until 2026, and then extended for another five years in 2020.
In 2019, there was a crisis in the relationship when the former RFEF president sought to change sponsors, but potential penalties for breach of contract ultimately prevented a sponsor change. Now, the RFEF wants its achievements to be recognized, and adidas wants to continue its partnership with Spain.
Although other brands are willing to sign with the RFEF, a renewal agreement appears imminent. For adidas, this is an absolute top priority, and the brand is deeply connected with the Spanish team, RFEF leadership, players, and fans. This partnership is set to continue for many more years.
