In the UEFA Nations League group stage match, Spain defeated the Czech Republic 3-1 at home. Rodri, the team captain who scored the second goal of the match, gave an interview to Teledeporte after the game.

On the match

It was a tough game. I told Santi (Czech coach) that we know them very well. The Czech Republic is a well-organized team, and I thought this would be one of the toughest games we'd face, and it proved to be exactly that. We faced difficulties, but we also had chances. In some games you might not create many opportunities, but the team can still control the match and secure a win.

On rotation

The lineup for this match was very different from the previous one, but the team still maintained a high level of performance. We need everyone, and everyone needs to stay sharp. We got another victory, and the most pleasing thing is the overall good condition the team showed.

On his goal

Scoring for the national team is always special. I haven't been scoring much lately, so let's see if I can get back to form with this goal. What matters is that we all contribute to scoring goals.
