Former Argentina midfielder Biglia recalled seeing Messi cry only twice, stating that Messi taught an entire nation not to give up, according to Sky Sports.

Messi delivered a farewell speech as Argentina's captain at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires. Over 85,000 spectators were present, marking Messi's 208th appearance for the Argentine national team. Messi began his speech by saying, "I have many emotions, and of course, the first thing that comes to mind is my father."
Biglia, who played alongside Messi for a long time in the Argentine national team, told Sky Sports: "Messi is part of us. I only saw him cry twice. Now he is reflecting on everything he has done in his life. The other time was after the 2014 World Cup final. The following year we lost the Copa América final again, and he said he didn't want to play for the national team anymore."
Biglia also said: "The most beautiful thing is that Messi taught us not to give up. The values he upheld have transcended everything he showcased on the football field. He taught an entire nation not to give up."
