Former Real Madrid player Guti appeared on Spanish TV show "El Chiringuito de Jugones" to discuss the team's current situation, offering his views on Mourinho's coaching style and Kylian Mbappé's performance.

Guti: There's still a lot of uncertainty. Real Madrid has a lot of uncertainty right now. I think it's been that way for the past year. There were many doubts, but we still need to maintain our confidence. I believe the club made significant investments in several players. I trust they made good signings and brought in a great manager, but not everything can be achieved in a month.

The problems Real Madrid has faced over the past two years still exist. The team and manager lack a stable environment where they can work calmly and diligently to produce results. Everyone is anxious, and I think everyone wants the team to perform well from day one, for everything to go smoothly from the start. Fans lack patience, and this feeling is transmitted to the team. Both the club and fans have this anxiety, which transfers to the players on the pitch and makes their adaptation more difficult. This applies not only to existing players but also to new signings. It's extremely difficult to join a club that's so desperate they want to win the title by October. After all, titles aren't decided in October.

As for Kylian Mbappé, Mourinho has always been very protective of both Mbappé and Vinicius. Do you understand the external doubts about these two?

Guti: No, the Mourinho I see now seems calmer than before. Journalist: You can clearly feel how much time has passed between the old Mourinho and the current one. I...

So which version of Mourinho do you prefer?

Guti: In some ways, I prefer the old Mourinho. In other ways, I prefer the current one. I think the current Mourinho is trying to help this team with everything he knows. When he arrived, he had a very clear tactical plan, but now he doesn't. Because a few days ago, he adjusted Barberul's position and had him play as a fullback. I don't think the old Mourinho would ever have done that.

Would never have?

Guti: Yes, yes. No, no. I don't think he would have done that. He's now being overly protective of his players, and that's what I dislike most about him right now.

So you think his relationship with the players is too close?

Guti: Yes, too close. When he needs to be tough... I liked the old Mourinho. He criticized his own players, not just opponents and referees.

Why do you think some players need tough love now?

Guti: I think they need it, and it's obvious. After the Atlético Madrid match, I think he should have definitely said something.

Were you disappointed in Kylian Mbappé?

Guti: Not at all. I think Kylian Mbappé is one of the best players in the world. I've never been disappointed in him.

Does Kylian Mbappé understand what Real Madrid means?

That's a different question. I don't know. When it comes to his personal life, everyone lives as they please.

I'm not talking about his personal life, but his commitment to the club.

On the pitch, I think he's one of the best players in the world.
