According to The Athletic journalist Guillermo Rai, Getafe and Carvajal's representatives are confident that his registration will be approved.

He noted that the situation remained fluid, with two key factors to consider. First was the club's salary cap; according to LaLiga sources, Getafe could provide financial guarantees to register the player if necessary, meaning this issue could be resolved. Second, LaLiga had set Carvajal's market value higher than the salary he would receive at Getafe, but the same source believed this gap was not excessively large and thus not an insurmountable obstacle.
