The Masu Gida currently sit in ninth position, but the winger insists the title race for the league title is still wide open

Kano Pillars winger, Amos Gyang claims there is no outright favourite for the Nigeria Professional Football League title at the moment.

Unbeaten in the last four games, Pillars are on the road to Ilorin to take on ABS in a midweek encounter.

"The way the league is panning out, no one seems to be taking charge or has been invincible, and we have given ourselves a good reason to be hopeful of a happy ending," Gyang told Goal.

"Nobody is right on it at the moment, so we'll have a good go and hopefully this isn't just a flash in the pan and we can keep our good form going."

With Sai Masu Gida on a good run of form, Gyang says his team will approach the game against 'naive' Saraki Boys with confidence.

"ABS have either been amazing or a little bit naive, so we're still seeing with them. But we have to be confident we can go there and win."
